The virtual exhibition «Climate change» has been open in the Russian National Public Library for Science and Technology since September 29, 2021.
The exhibition illustrates one of the key civilizational problems. Are the droughts, superstorms, floods that worry the humankind are natural and temporary climate deviations? Or are they set for drastic global changes on the planet? With intensifying greenhouse effect fueled by modern technologies what the impact will be on the weather oceanic machinery? The goal of the exhibition is to answer the basic questions related to climate changes. The displayed publications comprise scientific data on climate change and its impact on the natural ecosystems, offer the analysis of forecasts and estimates of climatic parameters of atmosphere and oceans, an possible measures to decrease anthropogenic effect in climate.
The virtual exhibition is based on printed and digital books in RNPLS&T’s collections, digital library systems, i.e. «IPRbooks», «Znanium.com», and «Lan», scientific «Elibrary.ru», «Grebennikon» e-library, and «LitRes: Library» resource.
