This summer, the book "University environmental education in the modern world" was published, edited by N.S. Kasimova, N.N. Alekseeva (M., Buki Vedi, 2020.340 p.).
The book is aimed at environmental professionals, graduate students, students, all those who are interested in improving personnel training for solving a wide range of environmental problems.
The relevance of the publication is due to the fact that the environmental modernization taking place in the world requires more and more active training of highly professional personnel in the field of ecology and nature management. Fundamental environmental education is a promising sector for the training of graduates in the system of earth sciences, the demand for which will grow in the conditions of the forward movement of Russia on the path of greening the economy and sustainable development. Environmentalists are trained in 150 universities in Russia, educational programs in the field of the environment are widely represented in universities in many countries.
The authors hope that the materials presented in the book "University environmental education in the modern world" will contribute to making informed decisions when planning educational programs based on the 2020 Federal State Educational Standards of Higher Education in the field of "Ecology and Environmental Management", considering professional standards (GEF 3 ++).
