IFLA Green Library Award 2022 calls for submission



The United Nations General Assembly approved by consensus a resolution that promulgates 2022 as the International Year of Basic Sciences for Sustainable Development

In the  Agenda 21 adopted at the UN Conference on Environment and Development (Rio de Janeiro, 1992) the need to re-orient education to sustainable development is emphasized.

Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs, are formulated in the UN Declaration “Transforming our World: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development”.

«The Sustainable Development Goals are a call for action by all countries – poor, rich and middle-income – to promote prosperity while protecting the planet. They recognize that ending poverty must go hand-in-hand with strategies that build economic growth and address a range of social needs including education, health, social protection, and job opportunities, while tackling climate change and environmental protection”.
